Packed shipment

Record carton count, external carton dimensions, net and gross weight, pallet use and loading notes from the approved pack-out—not from the assembled footprint.

State the importing country, sales channel, required languages, buyer-defined labels and any market-specific document questions before artwork is approved.

Revision link

Connect quotation, drawing, images, instructions and packing list to the same revision. Recheck affected records after a material, door or accessory change.

Separate assembled-product facts from logistics facts

A greenhouse may have a long assembled footprint while travelling as several compact cartons. The drawing defines the erected structure; the packing record defines the shipment. Importers need both, but one should never be calculated from the other without verified pack-out data.

  • Use overall assembled dimensions only for the product description.
  • Keep carton dimensions, carton weights and pallet dimensions in dedicated logistics fields.
  • Confirm which loose parts and accessories belong to each carton before loading plans are finalised.

Make destination requirements an RFQ input

Packaging and product information can change by destination and sales channel. For raw-wood pallets or dunnage, the importer should check the current plant-health requirements that apply to that shipment. Handling marks, languages and online information should likewise be confirmed for the selected market.

  • Identify the destination country and responsible buyer entity.
  • List required product identifiers, languages and warning or instruction fields.
  • Treat ISPM 15, labelling and compliance questions as shipment-specific checks, not universal product claims.
